Inspired by Dante’s La Divina Comedia and his journey through Hell, this Vermouth di Torino Superiore defies the traditional boundaries of Italian Rosso Vermouths.

9diDANTE INFERNO

Blended from equal parts Dolcetto Red and Cortese White Piedmont wines, we have developed this orginial recipe to deliver a modern an intriguing taste.

You will be seduced by its intense ruby red colour and its fruity nose with hints of red berries, cherry and orange.

It’s bold personality will provide a rich and full bodied experience with well balanced herbal and citrus notes and a fresh and mildly bitter finish.

Enjoy it over ice with a twist of orange or try it in your Negroni for a truly sinful experience.

This classic cocktail was first served at a reception hosted by Lady Churchill (yes, Winston’s Mum) at New York’s Manhattan Club, in honour of the presidential candidate Samuel J. Tilden.

While today it is custom to drink it in a 1:2 ratio of vermouth to rye, the original recipe in Jerry Thomas’ 1887 Bartenders Guide called for the inverted ratios that we use in our cocktail.
