AMY

Nc’Nean autumn series is all about the people who make Nc’nean what it is, about the small team of eco-conscious drinks fanatics on a mission to bring together a new generation of Scotch drinkers. They might be small, but their job is mighty, to pioneer sustainable production whilst creating innovative and delicious spirits. Each autumn, this bottling is selected by and named after one member of the small team.

  • This year’s Quiet Rebels release has Head of Sustainability, Amy, at the helm. It’s moreish, creamy, jammy and absolutely delicious. Quiet Rebels Amy includes whisky finished in ex-Maury casks from a small organic vineyard in France who produce a fortified wine that is made in a similar way to port. The 60 year old vines are maintained with a variety of sustainable farming methods including agroforestry which involves integrating frees amongst the vines to improve soil richness. The farm also follows the biodynamic principles such as following the lunar calendar which several studies show is an effective way to determine the best time to plant and harvest crops. These ex-Maury casks have been blended with Nc’nean’s house style STR red wine and ex-Bourbon casks to create Amy’s dream bottling.
